About the Artists
Victor Heifets was born into a family of musicians in Lviv, Ukraine.
His father, Gersh Heifets, was his first violin teacher. At the age of 13, the young violinist was accepted into Central Music School for the gifted children in Moscow, class of Prof. Boris Belenky. One of his first performances was Prokofiev Violin Concerto #1 with the Lviv philharmonic Orchestra when he was 16 years old. Mr. Heifets graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory (class of Prof. Boris Belenky) with a Master of Arts in solo violin and orchestra performance (BA, MA).
Symphony orchestra under Pavel Kogan, son of the famous Russian violinist Leonid Kogan. As an Orchestra Concertmaster he performed concerts around the globe in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Barbican Center in London, Munich Philharmonic Hall, Suntory Hall in Japan among others. He worked with conductors such as Pavel Kogan, Dennis Russell Davies, Itzhak Perlman,
James Levine, Leon Botstein and at musical institutions including the New York City Opera (NYCO) Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra, Westchester Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Orchestra of New York. Mr. Heifets took part in Barbra Streisand‘s American and European Tours in 2006 and 2007 and also performed with Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti as a member of NYCO Orchestra in Madison Square Garden.
Ella Heifets has heard sounds of the violin since she was born. Her
father, Igor Frolov, a well known Russian violinist and composer who studied with David Oistrakh, had given her a small violin when she was six years old.
from the Moscow State Conservatory (Russia). As a student, she participated in Isaak Stern and Itzhak Perlman Master classes. Since coming to the United States in 1993, Ella Heifets established herself as a teacher as well as chamber and orchestra musician.
She is a Faculty Member in the Manhattan School of Music, Violin
Instructor at Horace Mann School and Dwight-Englewood School. She is also a Violin and Viola Teacher at her own Private Music Studio. Mrs. Heifets’ students won numerous International and American Competitions such as International Strings Competition Cremona, Italy, American Protégé International Strings Competition, Golden Strings of America Competition, American Fine Arts Festival, Boston University Tanglewood Institute and Manhattan School of Music Concerto Competition.
Cremona International Academy, Prima Artists International Competition, and the American Fine Arts Festival. As a violinist, she was a part of many Broadway productions such as: Phantom of the Opera, Shrek, Boy from OZ, The Color Purple, La Cage Aux Folles, Look of Love, Annie Get Your Gun, Ragtime and Showboat.
Coming from two generations of musicians, Olga Noskin began playing at the age of 5 and completed 9 years of piano education in Kyiv (Ukraine) studying under L.S. Keshyan and R.S. Donskaya (L. Revutzky Kyiv Music School #5). While there, she had received highest accolades in multiple city and state-wide competitions, was
granted several performances with the State orchestras starting at the age of 8 and was featured in several State televised programs. Immediately before emigrating at 14yo, she was invited by D.R. Yudelevich to study at the Kyiv Lysenko State Music Lyceum.
accompany various potpourri theatrical and choral performances, including productions of “My Fair Lady” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” She held a few more solo and ensemble concerts during her subsequent training. She is presently a practicing Doctor of Neurology in Ridgewood, NJ.
