Three Years of Resilience: A Benefit Concert for Ukraine
On February 22, over 100 supporters gathered at the Forte Piano Recital Hall in Paramus, NJ, for Three Years of Resilience: A Benefit Concert for Ukraine. Marking the solemn three-year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the evening was a powerful reminder of the strength, culture, and unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and donors, the event raised over $6,500 to support humanitarian aid efforts.
The concert was a testament to the incredible power of music in bringing people together for a common cause. Featuring an extraordinary lineup of musicians, the night showcased a fusion of Rock, Jazz, Spanish guitar, and Ukrainian folk music, transporting the audience through a rich musical experience while raising vital funds for Ukraine.
An Unforgettable Evening of Music
The concert opened with a stirring performance by Olga Noskin on piano, setting the tone for an evening filled with passion and artistry. Michael Drob’s masterful violin performance captivated the audience, while the powerful voices and guitar skills of Andrey Kompaniyets, Alexander Notkin, Yevgeniy Beltyukov, and Dmytro Korinenko filled the venue with energy and emotion.
The evening also featured Ilya Lisovets’ breathtaking violin solos, Nikita Karakchiyev’s deep bass rhythms, and Leonid Gelman’s virtuoso piano skills. The enchanting sounds of Konstantin Paradizov’s Spanish guitar added a touch of Mediterranean warmth, while the Ludmila Koval Band delivered a mix of jazz, rock, and traditional Ukrainian melodies that had the audience swaying in their seats.
One of the most moving performances came from Olesia Kichuk, a Ukrainian singer-songwriter who has dedicated her talent to supporting troops on the front lines. Her performance of “Ukrainian Jodel,” which earned standing ovations at the Winter Pereplyot Festival, once again left the audience in awe.
A Community United for Ukraine
The concert was not just about music—it was a night of unity, remembrance, and action. As we marked this grim anniversary, the event reminded us all that Ukraine still needs our help. With the U.S. halting aid, grassroots efforts like these are now more critical than ever.
100% of the proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go toward humanitarian relief, ensuring that vital supplies reach those in need. In 2024, Helping Hands for Ukraine allocated 97% of all funds directly to charitable programs, with the remaining 3% covering necessary operational expenses. The dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters make this possible.
Thank You for Standing with Ukraine
We are immensely grateful to everyone who attended, donated, and supported this event. To our incredible musicians, volunteers, and donors—your contributions are making a difference.
If you missed the concert but still want to help, please consider making a donation to Helping Hands for Ukraine. Every dollar counts in providing life-saving aid to those affected by the war.
